Roxy

Sponsored by Sam Wong

Gender: Female
HDB Approved: No

Estimated DOB: 15 Jul 2017

Personality: Roxy was rescued as a tiny puppy. Since young, Roxy was a sickly pup – Every few weeks, she’d be down with a flu, or a stomach upset, or just didn’t seem so well. She’s been to the vet many times, and it was only when she was about 7 months old, that we found out that she had a condition called portosystemic shunt. This meant that Roxy had a liver, that was not working. Sadly, her condition is so serious that even surgery cannot fix, and her life expectancy is much shorter than a normal dog.

Despite her being ill, Roxy remains a spunky and loving girl, to the people she adores. She needs life long medication to manage her disease, and a good diet, to ensure she stays well for as long as possible.
